Roman copper alloy T shaped brooch
In place of a chain-loop there is an imperforate tab, that was originally enamelled. The small cross bar has grooved ends. The bow narrows below the head then widens out at the waist before tapering away again. There is incised line ornament on the upper part of the bow. The waist decoration consists of a lozenge defined by a plain band of copper alloy with two triangular sinkings for enamel, separated by a copper alloy 'wall'.
