Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Sucrier and cover of soft-paste porcelain, standing on a tapering foot rim, high shouldered sides of rounded oblong shape ending in a shelf-type convexly curved lip rim; domed cover, pyramidal finial with faint beading effect on upper section; horizontal gadroon moulded handles; the lower body and cover painted with floral arabesques in red green and gilt, running tulip border in gilt on lip rim, feathered gilding to moulding on handles, gilt band to foot rim, upper shoulder, lip rim, base of cover and around finial, finial painted in gilt.
