Postcard 'Abseil Makes the Heart Grow Fonder'. Information printed on reverse reads 'On February 2nd 1988 three women abseiled from the visitors gallery into the chamber of the House of Lords to protest about Clause 28 of the Local Government Bill. This bill states that: local authorities cannot fund or 'intentionally promote' homosexuality, and that state schools cannot promote 'the acceptability of homosexuality as a pretended family relationship'.
