Bronze memorial plaque, often known as the 'Dead Man's Penny'. Relief of Britannia holding a laurel wreath, surrounded by the inscription: 'HE DIED FOR FREEDOM AND HONOUR CHARLES ERNEST SYMONDS'. Mounted in a circular wooden frame.
Charles Ernest Symonds died of heat stroke in Aden on 4 July 1915. He served with the South Wales Borderers.
