¾ Starboard bow view of S.S. MARDENE at Cardiff Docks.
Built 1947 by William Gray & Co Ltd., West Hartlepool (triple expansion engine by Central Marine Engine Works), for Dene Shipping Co Ltd., London. 1952 – Sold to Buries-Marks Ltd and renamed LA QUINTA, 1954 – Sold to Metcalf Shipping Co Ltd., West Hartlepool, and renamed FIDENTIA, managed by Metcalfe, Son & Co. 1966 – Sold to Maritime Transport Corporation, Monrovia, and renamed IONIA, managed by G..T.
