Plate, ironstone china, circular shape with tapering foot-rim with an incised ring around it, curving sides and spreading rim, a raised edge to the well, the edge of the rim notched; transfer-printed in outline and in-filled in blues and oranges with touches of gilt with a Japanese Imari-style design of to the centre of the well sprays of oriental flowers and foliage, to the rim alternating lobed panels of turquoise and of orange and blue separated by blue cylinders and issuing spreading sprays of oriental flowers and foliage.
