Teapot and cover, mixed or duck egg paste with slight green translucency; London shape with rectangular bulbous body swelling from the foot and into the wide shoulder; square shouldered loop handle with pinched thumb spur and lower inner spur; curving spout moulded with flutes at the base and with scrolls at the top; plateau-shaped lid with rounded pyramid finial; decorated with an underglaze blue band bearing red and white stylised chrysanthemum heads and gilt foliage and reserved with three ovals of flowers on a white ground; band of gilt foliage at the shoulder; handle and spout partly gilded; cover edged with blue band painted with gilt foliage flowers and fence within, below finial
