Medieval pottery pitcher
Green glazed spout of a pitcher. A narrow, tubular spout with the tip cut at a diagonal angle. A thin strip of clay has been applied approximately half way up the spout, wrapping once around the base, intertwining at the top to form a twist pattern that would originally have attached to the main body of the vessel. The exterior surface glaze is bright green with a high gloss.
