Roman copper alloy penannular brooch
Penannular brooch, Fowler (1960) Type D. Rather heavy. Not a perfect circle, terminals slightly pushed in. Terminals have broad grooves across middles and series of incised lines at right angles to them, on either side. Pin of wire twisted round ring several times. Also remains of a bronze guard-chain. Pin incomplete.
