Tray

Haynes, Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1802 - 1810)
Pardoe, Thomas (1770-1823)

Tray, pearl-glazed, oval with two rounded plain integral handles, upper side with underglaze blue ground with cailloute gilding, reserved with a centrally placed oval containing a vignette of naturalistically painted sea-shells and purple green and orange seaweed. Has been broken and repaired.

This tray would originally have been part of a cabaret set comprising a teapot, cream jug, covered sugar bowl, slop bowl, cup and saucer.
