Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Meat platter, earthenware, round-ended oblong shape with flat base, curving sides and spreading rim, a raised edge to the well, the rim lobed and moulded with several raised bands around it; transfer-printed in blue with to the centre of the well two large spreading sprays of flowers and foliage, extending up the sides of the well and onto the rim further large and small sprays of flowers and foliage, some with shells, dentil border to the rim of small circles and diamond shapes issuing small flowers, a slightly brownish tinge to the glaze in places. A crack to one side of the rim.
