Tray, tin-plate, oblong form with rounded corners and out-curving sides, curved hand-holes to either end; covered all over with a black japan, the upperside decorated with an all-over stormont pattern in crimson, and with borders of stars, lines and scrolls in silver to which the varnish has given a golden tinge, to the centre an oblong panel with crimson lines and a central ornament in silver to which the varnish has given a golden tinge.
