Cap
Peaked cap commemorating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. The peak is red with a white underside and has a stiffening interlining of thin cardboard (?). Cap is made of four sections of synthetic fabric: front and back section are white, right section is blue and left section is red; the front white section has a print of a crown and crossed flags of the Union Jack and the Royal Standard above it. EIIR in yellow underneath and a ribbon banner in yellow with 'Coronation 1953' printed on it in black. The inside of the lower edge of the cap is finished with white cotton bias tape which is stitched on along the lower edge. Machine stitched using white thread.
