Roman copper alloy ram's head handle
Small handle terminating in a ram's head. The piece is well modelled with tightly twisted horns and tiny knobbed and incised curls of wool about the face and head. A ridged collar-moulding separates the terminal from the hollow shaft, which is octagonal in cross-section and has five grooves spaced more or less evenly along the extant section.
