Post-Medieval gold finger ring
A misshapen decorative gold posy ring. The outer surface is cast with a repeating pattern of quatrefoils chased for white enamel (in centres) and pale green enamel (petals), alternating with narrow collars with small collets containing dark blue glass pellets; most of the enamel is now missing. The inner face of the band is engraved in italic script with the legend: A frind’s givft.
