Medieval pottery jug
Jug base in light-grey fabric with a light orange internal surface and a similar externally on the base: elsewhere the exterior has an unevan olive-green glaze. A non-joining sherd, apparently from the same vessel, shows grooves above the thumbed basel section and this, together with the similarity of fabric, enable us to suggest that this is probably part of jug 80.46H/1.1
