Mug or tyg, pale buff coloured earthenware, standing on a spreading rounded waisted foot-rim, high concave sides flaring out to the lip-rim, twin small ridged and grooved loop handles placed at right angles to each other on the body; the body coated with a white slip over which lines of dark slip have been combed to provide a variagated effect, the whole of the body apart from the base then covered with a rich glossy yellow glaze.
