Roman glass oil flask

Oil flask reconstructed from fragments. Rim and handles complete and about two-thirds of the body. The glass, originally colourless, is now slightly milky-white and iridescent. The rim is folded outwards, and inwards, leaving a very narrow mouth-opening. It has a fairly short neck, two 'dolphin' handles and a globular body with wheel-cut decoration. The base of the flask, of which only fragments remain, has a design of cut grooves radiating from the centre.
