Roman pottery flagon
Red ware with white slip. Four-ringed mouthpiece and two-ribbed handle. The short curved neck and weakly modelled rings with slightly cupped mouth indicate a later date. Cf. May, Carlisle Pottery, Pl. X, 131a, b ; and for a similar Antonine modification, Balmuildy, Pl. XLIII, 5.
