Sucrier with cover
Sucrier, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a rounded spreading slightly waisted foot-rim, rounded curving sides with rounded lip-rim, round domed cover with a pine cone finial to the top; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the either side of the exterior body of the sucrier and to either side of the top of the cover landscapes showing river or lakeside scenes with figures, buildings and distant hills, the landscapes enclosed by rococo borders in blue and gilt, between the landscapes are sprigs of naturalistic flowers, a gilt edge to the rim of the cover, the finial picked out in gilt.
