Spill vase
Spill-vase, bone china with a white translucency; standing on a straight sided foot rim (three ball and claw feet missing), curving into a cylindrical shape flaring prominently towards the lip, with a ridge above the foot and below the lip, rounded lip with a scalloped gallery; painted in rich underglaze blue reserved with a rectangular panel on the front containing a bouquet of flowers, a small shaped reserve on the back with a single purple convolvulus, surrounded by gilt foliate scrolls; gilt band to the foot rim, gilt c-scroll, hatched and dot border above the foot, gilt c-scroll borer below the lip with alternating gilt leafy stems and triangular motifs, gilt band to the lip's interior and exterior.
