Roman copper alloy harness fitting
Harness ring. At the rear is a shank which expands into an elongated oval stud, for insertion through the eyelet of a leather strap, and at the opposite end of the same diameter, a rectangular bar was situated, evidenced by two shanks. The ring is somewhat crude but has a decorative incised line close to its outer circumference.
