Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim, cushion moulded and curved spreading sides, lobed lip; painted with a frieze of polychrome enamelled flowers around the edge on a gilt dotted ground, including rose, poppy, bluebell, and tulip; three pink rose sprays in the centre between three butterflies, and a rosebud in the centre; gilt scroll and heart border to cavetto; gilt dentilled lip.
