Jug

Jug, pearlware, standing on a rounded spreading foot-rim, bulbous body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, angular scrolled handle; transfer-printed in black and in-filled in yellow and orange enamels with to either side of the body a design of masonic symbols including two globes on pillars, a compas, towers and a beehive, the designs enclosed by circular silver lustre bands, to the front of the body the inscription "Thomas Jenkins / 1813" painted in silver lustre with a pattern of silver lustre dashes above and a silver lustre foliate spray below, around the exterior neck a border of Greek key shapes in silver lustre, silver lustre bands around the foot-rim, shoulder and interior and exterior lip-rim and spout, the handle edged in silver lustre.
