Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'The Redoubt', showing a battle scene with two ranks of soldiers fighting with bayonets and sabres, above the scene hovers a symbolic design with a crown and the flags of Britain and France, around the bottom of the scene is the inscription "THE REDOUBT-INKERMAN", the print enclosed by a narrow circular pearl dot border. The glaze crazed, the flange slightly chipped.
