Mug of pale creamware, cylindrical with slightly inset base, turned moulding round the foot, a ridge round the rim and a plain strap handle, a modelled frog applied inside; decorated on the front with a print of a 2-masted collier brigantine in sail and the inscription 'Success to the COAL TRADE / Here's May Colliers Flourish, our Trade increase / And Victory bring us a lasting Peaee [sic].', a broad black line painted round the rim, the frog inside enamelled in green.
