Plate, buff earthenware, covered with a pale-blue tin-glaze, standing on a recessed base, spreading, cushion-moulded sides, forming a large, steep-sided central well and steeply sloping wide rim; decorated in underglaze blue, in the centre, with a chinoiserie-style scene of rocks, shrubs and birds in flight within a circular band; the rim with three stylized floral sprays.
