Mug, pearlware, standing on a flattened-off foot-rim, cylindrical sides, square-shouldered angular handle; transfer-printed in manganese with around the exterior sides a Europeanized Chinese landscape with two figures standing besides a bridge, a large pagoda-like building with a seated figure fishing in front of it, and a distant castle on top a hill, border to the exterior lip-rim of foliate scrolls, flower heads, foliate sprays and lattice-work patterns, border to the interior lip-rim of a diamond-shaped pattern enclosing stylized flower heads, an orange-brown edge to the lip-rim, border to the handle of floral sprays and a diaper pattern. The lip-rim chipped.
