Early Medieval copper alloy buckle
D-shaped buckle frame and prong with attaching elongated buckle plate. The plate is a tapered flat sheet, folded and fastened with a rivet at the tapered end. Plate profile is subtle s-shaped . The upper surface of the plate is engraved with an interwoven zoomorphic design (buckle end). Beneath are a series of three small crosses with pellets in each corner. On the bottom surface, two concentric lines run along the outer edge, following the shape of the plate.
