Switch Off Saturday poster, Ebbw Vale 1992, photo
Photograph of 'S.O.S' advertisement (poster) at Ebbw Vale. Poster was published by National Union of Mineworkers, Trades Union Congress and others calling for lights to be switched off for 5 minutes by the general public at 8pm on Saturday 19th December 1992, in protest of the closure of thirty one British pits. Poster shows miner's head and helmet, with cap lamp forming O of S.O.S.
