Taperstick
Taperstick, soft-paste porcelain with a white creamy translucency; standing on a straight sided foot rim curving into straight spreading sides, moulded with a ring handle, cylindrical sconce indented at base, with an everted lip; painted around the edge with a frieze of alternating pink roses and blue convolvuli; gilt leaf and dot pattern around middle of sconce, gilt band to lip, base of sconce and sconce lip, gilt detail to the handle.
