Plate, earthenware, in the shape of a vine leaf, standing on a heart-shaped foot-rim, curving sides, shaped rim, the interior moulded with incised lines resembling the veins on a leaf; transfer-printed in green with the 'Swan' pattern, a swan-like bird swims on an expanse of water with a fountain to one side and another bird flying above it, roccoco sprays of flowers, foliage and elaborate scrolls to either side of the scene, perforated ribbon border to the rim interspersed with sprays of flowers and scrolls and issuing sprays of flowers and foliage.
