Chaff cutting machine
Standing on woodern frame with cast iron support for four legs and other cast iron mechanism mounted on frame; safety box constructed of woodern boards to protect operators from cutting knifes; the feeding box or feed box is also constructed of timber with metal plate guard to fit over cog wheel mechanisms; clutch for disengaging driving mechanism; engine of guard part partially rusted and broken; machine is power driven with flat belt pulley wheel attached to spindle; cast iron plating above feed rollers; wooden frame and name plate coloured red oxide, other metal fittings and safety box painted light green; wooden feed box has been re-built and left unpainted; machine is also fitted with a safety clutch device (see safety of chaff cutting machinery reulations 1898).
