Roman pottery incense burner
Soft pinkish-buff ware. Straight sided type, largely restored from a number of fragments. four examples, one of which has a rouletted wall with mica coating, a recognized early treatment. The underbase of these vessels, omitted in the drawing, is generally strongly coned inwards.
