Roman copper alloy Polden Hill brooch
Developed Polden Hill brooch. The brooch is in two pieces which do not join. It is of the Dolphin form but with only a shallow curve to the bow. Only one of the short side wings is intact; it is ornamented with two deeply incised vertical lines. There is the skeuomorph of the forward chord hook linking with the chord loop to form a shallow crest on the head. The catchplate had simple openwork ornament.
