Launched 1943 and completed 1944 as EMPIRE LORD by William Doxford & Sons, Sunderland (3-cylinder oil engine by builder), for MoWT, managed by W.Runciman & Co Ltd, Newcastle. 1946 – Sold to United British Steam Ship Co Ltd., and renamed ALDINGTON COURT, managed by Haldin & Philipps Ltd. 1947 – Owner restyled as Court Line Ltd. 1959 – Sold to Cosmar Shipping Corp., Piraeus, and renamed ANACREON, managed by Fred Hunter, London. 1966 – Sold to Zirda Cia Nav S.A., Genoa, and renamed WHITE DAISY 1967 – Sold to Garden City Shipping Inc., Panama (same name). 1968 – Sold to Cia Nav Rivabella S.A., Panama, and renamed ROBERTINA, managed by World Shipping & Oil Transport Co Ltd., London. She was abandoned as a total loss after being beached 2 miles west of Cape Garraway.
