Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Dublin Industrial Exhibition 1853', showing glass domed exhibition buildings with in the foreground a large crowd of figures including many figures in carriages, the scene enclosed by a circular border of shamrock leaves with to the bottom of the scene the inscription "DUBLIN INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION 1853." on a blue ground. The rim of the flange slightly chipped.
