Roman copper alloy knife handle
Possibly part of a knife handle. The object comprises the bronze element of what was apparently a knife with an iron blade and a handle of bone or wood held together at their junction by a bronze unit. Part of the iron blade remains riveted into position at one end of the object; at the other end there is provision for the insertion of a handle of circular cross-section, and traces of rivets remain to secure it.
