Cup and saucer
Cup, hard-paste porcelain, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, cylindrical sides, plain loop handle; finely painted with to the front of the exterior body of the cup a head and shoulders silhouette in black enclosed by a wreath of forget-me-nots, a gilt edge to the lip-rim, a gilt stripe to the handle. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, flaring sides; finely painted with to the centre of the well the monogram 'R M' in slightly worn gilt, enclosed by a wreath of leaves and berries, a gilt edge to the rim. The foot-rim very slightly chipped.
