Goffering iron
Goffering iron. Rounded head on a rounded steel stem with turned and notched decoration near head. A double scroll decoration forming loop at extreme end.
Blacksmiths made items for the home and although for everyday use, the objects were often beautiful and decorative. Blacksmiths added extra flourishes to show off their skills.
