Early Medieval human remains
These are well preserved (over 75%) remains of the inhumation of a Young Adult (25-39 years) who was probably Male
He was buried in an extended supine position oriented West-East. This was a cist grave with stone holding the individual's head in place.
The burial is from Phase N: 998-1168 AD
His bones showed evidence of Degenerative Joint Disorder and Enthesophytes, both of which can be caused by repeated manual labour. These was also an infection on his right tibia and Periodontal Disease on his teeth.
The burial is associated by proximity with SK118, SK220 and SK399
