Vase, with cover
Vase, jasper, on a blue jasper plinth, the vase of white jasper, standing on a round waisted foot with horizontally ribbed foot-rim, bulbous sides and flaring mouth, to either side of the body twin high ring and spurred handles, halfway down the interior sides of the vase an inner rim of which rests a round slightly domed cover in white jasper, to the top of the cover a round knob-like finial, the sides of the base sprigged with four applied floral motifs in white relief, around the upper body of the vase a wide band of blue jasper against which is applied a sprigged frieze of small scenes showing classical figures and separated by foliate motifs, all in white relief; left unglazed.
