Built 1939 and launched January 1940 by Barclay Curle & Company Glasgow, for the P&O subsidiary, Hain Steamship Company Ltd., London. 1955 - Sold to Williamson & Co, Hong Kong and renamed INCHSTAFFA. 1966 - Sold to Mullion & Co Ltd, Hong Kong, and renamed ARDSTAFFA. 1967 - Sold to Yick Fung Shipping & Enterprise Co Ltd, Hong Kong (later, Southern Shipping & Enterprise Co. Ltd.), and renamed NANKWANG. She became stranded and sank on the 30th November 1967, after breaking her anchor cable in heavy weather off Woosung, while carrying a cargo of iron ore from Whampoa to Shanghai.
