Basin, hard-paste porcelain, oval shape, standing on a foot rim, flared sides, flange, everted petal shaped lip; decorated in the Kakiemon style, in polychrome enamels and gilt with brushwood fencing, bamboo and pine tree, bird to the left in flight, another on bamboo in centre, flange decorated with sprays of flowers and a sheaf, chocolate brown border line to lip.
