Late Bronze Age / Early Iron Age bronze strap fitting
Small strap fitting or button, possibly from a harness. Hourglass shaped formed from two hollow cones, the largest of which has a bar for attachment to a strap or cord. The internal surface of this cone is rough, while the rest of the surface has been carfully polished. The edges of the lower cone are nicked and slighlty corroded but mostly complete, while the upper cone has no surviving circumference edge. Similar fittings have been found at Llanmaes, Vale of Glamorgan (Acc.no.2005.4H).
