Money box, red earthenware, globular shape with flat base, to the top a group of moulded fowl roughly modelled in half-blended clays, a cruciform slot to one side of the top; the top and sides covered with a creamy-white slip, sgraffito and stamped decoration has then been applied to this to reveal the red earthenware body beneath, below the slot is the inscription "Thomas Leaher / 1781" surrounded on three sides by a pattern of zig-zagging lines, and to the sides and the top are concentric circular banding and foliate motifs in a repeated pattern, the base left unglazed.
