Early Medieval pottery dish
A dish with simple flanged rim in a very soft and porous orange-pink fabric with some minute white and yellow inclusions. Slight traces of a darker slip are preserved. The form may be compared with Antioch 821, a late Roman B type derived immediately from Late Roman A and probably to be dated pre-425 at Antioch. Fulford form 50 fabric A1 - c. 500 to 575+, fl 525 to 575
