Mesolithic stone decorated pebble
From Romano-British Soil M64a, This is a slightly micaceous sandstone with far more silt, and therefore finer-grained than the others. It is the broken end of a thin pebble decorated only on one of the broad faces with a series of criss-cross lines which roughly follow three main orientations. As the piece is fragmentary with some surface damage, analysis of the design and the identification of motifs is not possible.
