Newspaper cutting 'Medal for postman' relating to the presentation of the Imperial Service Medal to Ronald Holder, 1970s.

Part of a collection of items belonging to Ronald Holder. Ronald Holder was born in Abercynon in 1914. During the Second World War he joined the Royal Signals. Early in the war he was captured in Java, and spent three and a half years as a Prisoner of War in the hands of the Japanese. He was liberated by the Gurkha’s and eventually came back to Wales via the troop ship M.V. Teglelberg.
