Roman emerald bead
Broken fragment of a small hexagonal-sectioned crystal of pale emerald with polished faces and a small longitudinal perforation. Probably used as a setting in an ear-ring, pin, bracelet or necklace. The shape is that of the natural crystal and the small axial perforation is such as occurs naturally during its growth.
